  Description: This course presents the importance of personal care in providing the highest quality of life for individuals with disabilities, how to provide personal care in a sensitive, respectful manner that meets the preferences of the individual, the basics of performing a comprehensive needs assessment and filling out an individual’s personal care support plan with a personal care support plan team, steps to assist individuals with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, getting dressed, and eating, and how to help prevent injury and infection and maintain a clean and safe environment for the individuals you support.
