Cleaning is a huge industry, generating an estimated $168 billion in annual revenue around the world. On the “surface” one may assume that disinfecting and sterilizing are interchangeable methods of cleaning. However, they are different – different in tools, processes, and outcomes. In this course, we will break down the differences between cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing and how to carry out each one properly.
