  Description: The course is designed for employees to help them identify substance abuse in the workplace. This course will review the impact of substance abuse in the workplace and its association with poor performance on the job. Substance abuse is an addiction and very likely will progress, unless there is an intervention in the progress of the disease. This course will examine signs and symptoms of substance abuse specific to alcohol and a number of drugs. We will look at the effects on your organization, your co-workers, and yourself, and what your obligations are. We will conclude our discussion with some resources you may find helpful. Included are links to evaluation tools to give you guidance in defining if you or someone around you has a substance abuse problem.
