  Objectives: Learn the uses neurological findings and medication to treat adults and children with PTSD.
  Description: Posttraumatic stress disorder is characterized by symptoms that reflect some form of persistent re-experiencing of the original traumatic event. Possible symptoms of this re-experiencing include recurrent and intrusive distressing recollections of the event, recurrent distressing dreams of the event, and physiological reactivity upon exposure to internal or external cues that resemble an aspect of the traumatic event.
