  Objectives: At the completion of this program, participants should be able to: • Identify effective methods of working with emerging adults • Know the general trends and statistics regarding emerging adults and substance abuse problems • Identify key programmatic changes that can increase the overall efficacy of substance abuse treatment • Know the do’s and don’ts of working with emerging adults • Understand the unique needs of the emerging adult population and the need for providers to adjust services
  Description: This course is a presentation that focuses on the current trends of emerging adult substance abuse and mental health problems. Additionally we will review recommendations to service providers about the qualities of effective interventions with emerging adults as well as helpful tips on how to interact with this group more effectively.
