• Identify the basic symptoms or areas of dysfunction experienced by persons with ASD
• Identify screening and diagnostic procedures used to diagnose ASD
• Identify basic treatments/interventions used with people with ASD
Description:
This course provides a very basic introduction to the Autism Spectrum Disorders for providers who have little to no knowledge of the prevalence, basic symptoms or indicators, associated problems, diagnostic procedures and available aids or interventions. It is a wide-ranging but very basic introduction to the subject matter.
