Objectives:
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Explore differences in perspective between aging and IDD caregivers
• Identify common age related changes among older adults with IDD
• Describe a process for identifying the changing needs of clients with IDD
• Explore community resources and interventions in supporting aging individuals with IDD
Description:
This course is intended to help clinicians from all backgrounds to take a holistic view of aging clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). It is hoped that by viewing this course, you will be better equipped to recognize, assess and address the multifaceted challenges that aging IDD clients face.
