Description: This course has the following interviews: Robert Taylor, M.A. presents a quick way to think about assessing alcoholism. Carolyn Saari, Ph.D., Social Work, author of The Creation of Meaning in Clinical Social Work, editor of the Clinical Social Work Journal, and director of the Loyola University School of Social Work's Doctoral Program discusses narrative theory and its particular relevance in treating addictions. Mary Rich, LCSW, Ph.D., BCD, discusses the treatment of gamblers from a self- psychological point of view. Richard Schwartz, Ph.D., Marriage and Family Therapy, discusses his work with individuals diagnosed with M.P.D., using a systems method in which all the various "multiples" are viewed as part of the same system -- like a family.
