Healthcare organizations regulated by HIPAA, are mandated by the Department of Health and Human Services to use the ICD-10 code set for billing beginning October 1st, 2015. In making this transition, many organizations have also opted to adopt diagnostic codes from the DSM-5. This course discusses the changes involved in transitioning to both ICD-10 and DSM-5, as well as insights and best practices needed to assess whether your organization is prepared to make the transition.
