Illinois Vital Records System

IVRS is the Illinois Department of Public Health's system for electronic vital events (death and birth) origination and registration, including editing, reporting and service request tracking.

The Division of Vital Records currently processes over 100,000 new death certificates per year and 180,000 births per year. IVRS is a secure Internet based application that provides the ability to submit electronic birth, death and fetal death certificates for registration 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
