This course reviews the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Practice Parameter for Depressive Disorders among Children and Adolescents as well as more recent research. This course presents the prevalence and clinical presentation of Major Depressive Disorder in child and adolescent populations in order to help clinicians become better skilled at diagnosis among youth. This course utilizes a case study to help learners apply information to a real-life scenario. This is a one hour course and targets case managers, social workers and other social service professionals in the child services and related fields.
