Description: This course has the following interviews: Arnold Levin, Ph.D., Social Work, BCD, founder and President of the Institute for Clinical Social Work, in Chicago, discusses how providing psychotherapy changes over the course of the therapist's lifetime. Nancy Smith, M.S.W., and Steve Wolin, M.D., author of The Resilient Self, debate the validity of the syndrome of Codependency. Dr. Wolin sees the recovery movement as turning us into a nation of psychological cripples and prefers a focus on resilience in the patient, rather than on damage and pathology. Nancy Hornstein, M.D., discusses the diagnosis and treatment of children with M.P.D., and the use of hospitalization.
