• Distinguish Alzheimer’s Disease from other dementias by its unique presentation
• Recognize the changes in cognition, social function, and behavior/emotional well-being caused by AD
• Identify specific changes with the stages of disease progression
• Identify psychiatric issues associated with AD
• Discuss the effects of AD on caregivers
Description: The purpose of this course is look at the impact of Alzheimer’s dementia on the cognitive, social and emotional well-being of the affected individual, as well as considers the effect the disease process has on the caregivers.
